SUMMER READING

Osburn Public Library had another great turn out for the Summer Reading Program. Be Creative @ Your Library was a big hit; thanks to all the children, volunteers, and the grant from Target.  We read a lot of books together and did some wonderful crafts. During the 4 week program there was a total of  210 hours of reading logged by the children on their own time. The top readers in the 4–9 year age group were Molly Therrian with 96 hours and Irie Therrian with 71 hours. In the 10 and older age group Kiley Garner read 46 hours and Hannah Shepherd had 42. All participants won prizes and books;  the top 5 in each group won additional prizes such as Silverwood tickets, iTunes gift card, flash drives, book bags, etc. Good job everyone and keep on reading.
