Osburn Public Library

The mission is to lawfully solicit and accept donations and grants of  money, and to lawfully provide such funds to the Osburn Public Library for its use in purchasing needed library materials not specifically provided for in the City of Osburn budget.

Over the past several years we have been working hard to raise money to be able to completely redo the library. The old wooden shelves were beginning to sag and break; the carpet had seen better days and the paint well we'll just say the library needed painting. The project was going to run somewhere in the vicinity of $15,000.00. We finally raised the money needed ordered our shelves, carpet, and paint. We planned for the library to be closed August 2008; now if only all items arrived on schedule. Yeah!!!! We did it!! With a lot of hard work from all. We held our Grand Opening and were back to checking out items right on schedule.

One of the ways we raise money is to have an annual Christmas Basket drawing. Local business' donate items; that are placed in baskets or boxes. Tickets are sold for an oppurtunity drawing to win. One winner for all items.
